Moth's Backyard
Play as a little goblin alchemist named Moth and explore the various areas behind her house and collect ingredients to craft potions.
Controls
S, D to move
Space or W to Jump
M to bring up the map or close it
note: this is mainly to quickly get back home or to reset if you get stuck.
Left Mouse Click to attack/dash and click buttons for crafting and shopping
note: attacking/dashing/dodging are the same motion and the hitbox for attacking is in front of you.
Right Mouse Click to use your potion ability
Scroll Wheel to select your potion.
note: This scrolls the page too in the browser version. I had no idea that this would be a thing. I included downloads too for this reason.
Goal
There isn't really one. Just explore and collect ingredients to craft potions in your cauldron. There are some things I really feel I should've made a tutorial for but I didn't have the time. So maybe this will appeal to people that like to figure things out for themselves.
Description
This is my submission for Medroidvania Month 15 and I had about a month to make it. This game ended up being pretty much a demo because there isn't an end goal and what levels are there are short. I spent too much time implementing systems and making new environments and enemies when I should've actually been making the game. But I think that my game jam project should be condensed anyway.
But I had a story I wanted to tell dangit. Oh well.
I may want to develop this world more at some point after the jam. Way into the future. Eventually.

Interesting and fun game.
I really appreciate the feedback! I enjoyed watching you play through it but it also made me wish that I explained things more. I ran out of time before I could make a tutorial. But you seemed to figure things out pretty quick.
