This is a submission for the Pizza Jam (the prize is pizza) but the game has nothing to do with pizza. The idea was based on this line: "Don't Shoot the Monster!"

You will be going on this arcade-style adventure as the sorceress Eana who has somehow found herself on a dangerous dating show known as "Monster Girl Dating Dungeon". This one is far from ordinary. To flirt with their potential partners, contestants must fight through hordes of smaller monsters and retrieve treasures to present to the monster girls watching them from the sidelines. And they aren't allowed to leave until they either impress them or succumb to the enemies.
Are these monster girls really worth all this trouble? You decide!

How to Play (brief tutorial is in-game):
The game takes place on a board with 5 lanes. Enemies will spawn at the top periodically and you must kill them before they reach the bottom. If you fail in doing that you will take damage.

For this game jam, I had a list of 35 themes to choose from and most of them are quite whacky which I like. But I gravitated to one of the more tame options: "Don't Shoot the Monster!" When thinking of an alternative to shooting monsters I could only think of one thing, seducing them. I am only capable of horny thoughts. So that led to this.
I only had a little more than a week to do this and 2/3 of my development time was spent drawing and brainstorming. So the game could use some more polish but oh well. I just wanted to design monster girls.

lovely game!! the gameplay is challenging but rewarding and it encourages you to play carefully. and the art/designs are really nice hehe
after the 5th room it says "click to continue" but it doesnt seem to do anything, is this the end of the game?

Thank you! My goal was indeed to reward the careful management of mana. And yes, the 5th chamber is the final one but you should be taken to a screen that allows you to choose a girl afterward. On all my tests I was able to so I'm not sure why you were stuck on "click to continue". But I will be updating this after the jam is over.
I also got stuck on "click to continue" after beating the 5th room... otherwise, very polished game and very challenging! I somehow insta-won against the slime girl (5 seconds into the round), but maybe she was just easily impressed...
Yeah, the insta-win in chamber 3 is a cheat for fast testing that I unintentionally left in. I might keep it in the update though because to me the fact that the slime girl is easily impressed is hilarious.
Thanks for the feedback! I just watched a stream of somebody playing it who had similar struggles. I realized while watching players are prone to playing it opposite to how I intended which leads to a quick death. I'll try to do something about that soon.

Thanks for letting me know! After trying to recreate the problem I believe you clicked outside of the game at some point. To regain your controls you can click inside the game window again.
