Mint Snow Cone
A little platformer made in about half a week for: NOKIA 3310 JAM 6
Theme: Freeze
In this game, you'll be playing as a little dinosaur dog thing named Bonnie who really likes mint-flavored snow cones for some reason. And they're guarded by spikes, guns, bottomless pits, little hoppy dudes, and a giant robot. Why? Beats me. I can't make sense of anything I made. Also, Bonnie can alter time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Controls:
You have the option of using more traditional controls or if you want the gameplay to more closely simulate the Nokia experience you can use the Numpad.
OR:
---------------------------------
Nongraphic:
Arrow Keys or 4, 8, 6 to move/jump
Z or 7 to spawn platforms ( max of 3 )
X or 9 to Pause or Unpause certain game objects
C or 5 to clear all spawned platforms
Theme:
To utilize the theme "Freeze" I thought of giving the player the ability to freeze and unfreeze game objects. I opted to represent it with "play" and "pause" symbols for clarity on this tiny resolution. "Freeze" is also how I got the idea of snow cones being the end goal.

hey this is really fun! howd you manage to do so many levels in just half a week?!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'd say the reason I was able to complete this so quickly is the engine I used: Gdevelop. It comes packaged with extensions that make many common mechanics fast to set up, especially 2d platforming. So I was able to spend a lot more time designing levels than creating the game's logic
Nice animations, very fluid.
Thanks! Since I had very few pixels to work with I wanted to add character that way
