This is a free asset pack made for:

 Pixel Asset Pack Jam #2 | 1Bit

This is a pack of Halloween-themed sprites to build your very own 1-bit graveyard with. There is a total of 205 sprites that vary between tiles, decor, structures, and UI. Of the 205 there are 55 UI icons that can be used for a greater variety of projects just as long as they're still 1-bit and spoopy.  You can download them separately if you'd like.

205 may sound like a lot at first but this pack is only intended to get you started or to be used in addition to other 1-bit asset packs, perhaps ones made by other jammers.

The resolution of most sprites is 16 x 16 with exceptions being primarily landmark structures and UI elements. If a sprite has a dimension larger than 16 on either side it will be tagged with LG (large) in the file name. Smaller sprites are tagged SM (small). No matter the dimensions, they will fit comfortably on a grid of 16 x 16 squares.

All Icons are 16 x 16.

What you get:

------------------------------------------------

Basic Characters:

1 goth girl and 1 edgy boy. For each will receive a 96 x 96 Portrait, a 32 x 32 preview of their in-game sprites, and 16 x 16 animated sprites (Just Walking).

----

Icons:

55 common user interface icons in a 1-bit art style for things such as saving, pausing, volume control, and so on.

----

Environmental Objects:

Walls, fences, graves, statues, etc. to build out your graveyard.

The Showcase:

You can play a tiny demo on this page to see the sprites in use. While drawing these assets I was also building this showcase inside of Gdevelop to get a feel for them. I know this jam wasn't for making a game but making something playable with these assets helped the process.  I like to visualize my art assets in a game while creating them.

Controls:

W, A, S, D or Arrow Keys to move

M to toggle music

E  to exit to the character selection screen

R to randomize certain decorative elements

Credits:

All the art was made by me but the music in the showcase wasn't.

Music by Eric Matyas: https://soundimage.org/

If you ever need music for your little games this is a good place to look. I use his tracks for a lot of my jam submissions. He has a few other things on his site as well.

Shoutouts:

I used Chiptone for the SFX, a tool I use a lot to make retro sound effects.

The font was made by the famous Kenney who also inspired some of my assets.
