Chilling Love

Preface:

This visual novel is a romantic tale seen through the eyes of Aurora, named after the Aurora Borealis on account of her brilliant hair which mimics this wondrous light show. With just a glance you can tell that she is not an ordinary human, but one that possesses innate magical abilities. That is because she is half Rukh, a magical race of extraordinary beings who range from monstrous manifestations of evil to just fuzzy little animals. No matter their shape or size they are seen as agents of chaos that should keep to their own world, the Spirit World, and away from humans.

That's what Aurora grew up hearing. Rukh and humans should never come together as one but she is a living contradiction to that rule. Maybe that's why she always had a soft spot for Rukh. But she'd never challenge others in her village on this front and just accept it. That was until she met her beloved.

Content Warning:
One of the characters wears a risqué outfit in the later part of the game and there are references to sex but it is not depicted. It's more for humor than it is for eroticism.
The story also includes abuse and murder but I avoided being descriptive.

Rune Game Tutorial:

At irregular intervals you will need to complete a minigame in which you place runes at specific locations to cast a spell.

This is the interface for the spell minigame.

Drag and drop runes from the sidebar into 1 of 3 slots to match the spell shown.

The location matters. The runes are numbered 1 - 3 left to right. Drop the runes in the corresponding slots.

When you have placed the runes press the button in the bottom right to cast the spell.
