Miss Cupcake Sprinkletop
This is a short, chaotic game made in a few days for 1-Bit Jam #2
in which you play as an elf who doesn't know her own strength.
It's Christmas Eve! That means it's time for Santa's presents to be delivered to all the good little boys and girls... and adults, pets, and everything in between. Santa's generosity extends to all. But he can't do it himself though. He gets help from his little elves who are just as thrilled to deliver presents as he is. Among them, no elf is as excited as Cupcake Sprinkletop! One could say she's a little too excited.
The game:
Your job is to deliver all the presents you're holding. How many you have is shown at the top-left corner of the screen. You can't proceed to the next level until that number is 0. Not just that number but also the little number below it which shows how many are currently out and not delivered to somebody. If you can't do that before the clock runs out you will lose and Cupcake will tear her employee ID.
Look for characters and objects with a thick outline. This means they can receive a present. This includes people, cats, dogs, and doors.
Watch out for hazards. Ghosts will cause you to go down a floor if touched and fire, if touched, will send you to the last elevator you stepped out of.
Controls:
A, D or Arrow Keys to move
W, UP, or Space to jump
Aim and LMB to throw gifts.
Q and S to operate elevators
The Theme:
The theme of this jam was: "You start with everything and end with nothing". After a little thinking, I came up with the idea of gifting. I thought that would fit with the theme perfectly. And it's that time of year again to do exactly that (at the time this is being published).

That was a pretty fun and charming game, I really liked the idea and the gameplay
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Nicely done! Worked like a charm and I really liked the variation of the levels. Even though the concept stayed the same, the variations made it worthwhile. Liked the part where you needed to use the boxes to cross the fire.
One remark, because of all the smoke clouds the mouse cursor was hard to keep track of.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like your ideas for making the aiming of the mouse more meaningful. If I was to add more levels I'd probably do that. And you raised a good point about the cursor getting lost in the smoke. In general, there are improvements I could make to the cursor.
Very nicely done and polished game!! id only get rid of the mouse aiming and just let it shoot to where you're currently looking.
Thanks! I could possibly make that an alternate playstyle
I actually like the aiming with the mouse, even though it doesn't add much value to the gameplay (currently), it gives you more freedom and slightly more difficulty.
You could use it in future levels (?) to deliver presents to higher windows, doors or perhaps children hanging on the ceiling or whatever.
Definitely not remove it, is my humble opinion.
